Convert.com, the leading A/B & multivariate testing software for retailers and agencies announced today that it will be supporting users of Clutch.IO, a mobile A/B testing software acquired by Twitter in August.

Last week, Twitter announced that it would shut down Clutch.IO’s hosted service on November 1st and open-source the code on GitHub, leaving hosted clients stranded with no alternative for their Clutch.IO ready apps. Clutch.IO users can now sign-up for a smooth transition of their apps to Convert.com before the shutdown in order to continue using the service. This is a new step towards Convert.com’s strategy to expand into Mobile A/B testing.

"Retailers and agencies that support testing realize mobile is the future, and Convert.com's strategy has always been to be on the forefront of innovative testing. Clutch.IO is a wonderful service. This is why we will open up our mobile beta program to both new and existing Clutch.IO users. We will begin fully supporting the Clutch.IO infrastructure by initially setting up the same exact hosted service current users are familiar with, then making the migration as smooth as possible for them" said Dennis van der Heijden, Convert.com’s CEO and Co-Founder.

As the trend of mobile commerce (m-commerce) continues to grow exponentially, so will the need of retailers and agencies to find tools that can add value to their mobile users-- dedicated, adaptive and responsive sites and mobile apps. Recent studies show that both apps and websites in “app style” give the highest lift in conversion rates. As a Conversion Optimization solution provider, Convert.com aims to offer fully integrated support for all forms of mobile A/B testing.

Convert.com’s support for mobile and app A/B testing will unfold over a two-phase project. The first phase will begin with a beta of the hosted Clutch.IO service as existing users know it. This will offer a nearly seamless transition for users who may require some sort of modification in their apps to switch to Convert.com’s mobile platform. The second phase will feature a full integration with mobile websites and apps in one unified platform.

“Mobile is the next gold rush. While we spend 10% of our hours on mobile devices, just 1% of advertising dollars are spent on mobile. If you mosey into mobile town now, you're liable to become the sheriff. There is an expensive way to learn mobile marketing and a quick, inexpensive way: split testing with Convert.com. Start trying things today, and you will find yourself in the enviable position of growing with mobile users, who shop, read, listen, watch and buy with alarming increase.” adds Brian Massey, renowned Conversion Optimization Expert, Conversion Scientist at Conversion Science and author of “Your Customer Creation Equation”.

Clutch.IO users wishing to transition their hosting can sign up and get notified when the service is available at http://get.convert.com/clutch-io-integration/
