Award-winning agency Tenthwave is expanding its west coast presence with new hires and a new office in San Francisco.
David Blum has been named as Managing Director, West Coast Operations, while Carrie Messner comes aboard as Vice President, Client Services. Both join Tenthwave from integrated marketing agency Ozone.
The addition of this team is intended to provide more personalized service for Tenthwave’s Bay Area and Silicon Valley clients, including eBay, Facebook, and Visa, according to Tenthwave co-managing partners Drew Rayman and Steve Caputo.

David Blum honed his skills at landmark digital agencies Sapient, Razorfish and Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, developing ground-breaking campaigns, platforms and experiences for some of the world’s largest and most influential brands, including MINI, Priceline, and Microsoft.
Blum is an active speaker and panelist, widely recognized as a thought leader in interactive marketing, and a recognized expert in the field of behavioral targeting. Blum served on the 4A’s Government Relations Board, where he helped author the first Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Advertising.

Carrie Messner brings over 12 years of experience creating and managing B2C and B2B marketing and advertising initiatives for clients including Sony PlayStation, Southwest Airlines, and Intel. Messner has also led account and project management teams at Euro RSCG and boutique digital agency Kadium, building and mentoring teams while overseeing agency operations.
Tenthwave’s San Francisco expansion is a first phase of growth, with further expansion expected in the region and beyond, as business demands increase.
