Science builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations; belief is the psychological state in which an individual holds an idea to be true without convincing evidence

Through personal experience Dr. Lawrence DH Wood shares his new book "Science, Belief, Intuition; Reflections of a Physician" to convey the necessity for accepting vastly opposing points in order to understand each alone.

Dr. Wood is an expert in inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences in viewing the world through the twin lenses of science and spirituality. His credentials include Professor of Medicine, founding chief of the Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Chicago, three National Teaching Awards including the Humanism in Medicine Award and is a graduate of the School of Spiritual Direction.

"Science, Belief, Intuition; Reflections of a Physician" shows how the strengths of one fill the gaps of the other, providing more comprehensive understanding together than either alone.
