Recently, it has been found that CropFax is a more useful tool for seed selection than University trials because CropFax takes the results from multiple universities in order to compare and contrast seed selection and yield.
University yield trials can only provide general information because they are only conducted in a limited number of locations. However, the university trials can still be useful and CropFax uses statistical analysis which combines the information from 40 different universities.
A typical university trial collects about 700 results, whereas CropFax is able to collect about 225,000 field trial results a year. This means CropFax is able to offer more results from more locations.
CropFax combines outside data and historical data from up to 20 years ago in order to create accurate predictions. CropFax has also completed more than 23 million field comparisons.
