“...masterfully written tale that is expertly told. Nappi knows how to entertain the reader from start to finish.” --Nelson DeMille

The release of a new book is exciting enough, but add to that an endorsement from a bestselling author and the growing buzz over a controversial subject matter, and it’s a whole new ballgame.
For Long Island teacher and writer Frank Nappi, the upcoming release of his latest book, Nobody Has to Know, has exceeded expectations. He recently received support from #1 New York Times bestselling author Nelson DeMille. “Nobody Has to Know is a masterfully written tale that is expertly told. Frank Nappi knows how to entertain the reader from start to finish,” noted DeMille. DeMille also shared that the book is “…a haunting, briskly-paced page turner that explores the darkest recesses of the human psyche.”
“I was proud of this book and looking forward to it being released. It has taken several years to get the story where I wanted,” says Nappi. “Receiving Mr. DeMille’s kind words in addition to that has made for one of the most special moments of my career as an author.”
Several weeks ago, Nappi released the first two chapters of Nobody Has to Know for free on his website – http://www.franknappi.com. What followed was an immediate response due to the book’s sensitive subject matter.
“Responses flew in via e-mail, Facebook, and through other social media sites. Initial comments were very mixed; many of my readers are celebrating my latest project, while others, especially some fellow teachers, are taken aback by its plot,” says Nappi.
While a story of a teacher having an inappropriate relationship with a student is already taboo, the fact that Nappi is himself a teacher has fueled the critics. Nappi says that those people are clearly having difficulty separating the art from the artist. He feels that people are waiting for the big “reveal” about his main characters, but continues to reiterate that this book is wholly fiction. In a recent blog, Nappi wrote “…the simple fact that something is put in print does not automatically render it true.”
The book, which is Nappi’s foray into the mystery genre, has a compelling plot.
Nobody Has to Know, Frank Nappi's dark and daring new thriller, tells the story of Cameron Baldridge, a popular high school teacher whose relationship with one of his students leads him down an unfortunate and self-destructive path. Stalked through text-messages, Baldridge fights for his life against a terrifying extortion plot and the forces that threaten to expose him. Nobody Has to Know is a sobering look into a world of secrets, lies, and shocking revelations, and will leave the reader wondering many things, including whether or not you can ever really know the person you love.
With the buzz creating a strong demand for further content, Nappi shared that the book will be officially available on http://www.amazon.com - Tuesday, October 16th. “It’s a great read! People need to keep an open-mind and just get hooked on the story,” Nappi adds.
Nappi has an established writing career, having authored the award-winning Echoes from the Infantry and the critically acclaimed Mickey Tussler series.
