Quanta QCT, a leading manufacturer of server, storage and network equipment for datacenter customers in the United States, is the first integrated datacenter solutions provider to earn certification of its hardware on the Cloudscaling Open Cloud System.

Cloudscaling describes Open Cloud System as the most reliable, scalable, and production-grade solution available for building elastic clouds powered by OpenStack technology. Elastic cloud refers to infrastructure that supports new, dynamic cloud applications like big data, mobile, web, Platform-as-a-Service and online gaming. Elastic clouds are open, flexible and deliver attractive economics for not only deploying and managing dynamic applications, but also efficiently scaling them. The most widely known examples of elastic clouds are Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Compute Engine (GCE).

Quanta QCT servers, storage and network switches are the first hardware to be certified running OCS. Cloudscaling and Quanta QCT are the first partners to bring to market an elastic cloud solution that delivers the benefits of elastic public clouds to the customer’s datacenter. Customers for the first time have a production-grade private elastic cloud infrastructure on which to manage their dynamic cloud applications.
