Arcus Lending CEO, Shashank Shekhar today launched “Arcus Cares” – an initiative by Arcus Lending, to give back to the community.
As a part of Arcus Cares, the company has announced it’s first partnership with Child Rights and You (CRY) America, the American chapter of the India based non-profit organization.
“One of our core values at Arcus Lending is to give back to the community. Our partnership with CRY is a testimony to that. As a part of that partnership we would be donating a percentage of our annual profits to the cause. In choosing a non-profit to partner with, CRY was an obvious choice since the issues they focus on are in line with our core values,” said Shashank Shekhar, CEO Arcus Lending.
“We are very excited to partner with Arcus and have them as one of our corporate sponsors,” said Sushmita Pilaka Saha, President of the CRY Bay Area Chapter.
One of the first events, with Arcus Lending as a sponsor would be - CRY America’s 9th Walk for Child Rights 2012, which will take place in November across 20 cities in the USA. The event is an opportunity for people to show their support for the cause of Indian children, who are denied their basic rights to live, learn, grow and play.
The event comprises of non -competitive 5k walks, activities for kids and snacks. Some venues will also have competitive runs.
The Bay Area walk is scheduled for November 10, 2012 at Baylands Park, Palo Alto, CA. To learn more about the walk or to register click here
