James A. Durham’s new book, Restoring Foundations for Intercessor Warriors ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-62230-930-6; $8.49, e-book, 978-1-62230-931-3) outlines nine precious stones to build an unshakeable foundation for intercessory prayer. Durham heard God say, “It is time to restore the foundations!” and with this book, the author’s mission is to present to and encourage the reader to understand and apply these nine elements revealed to him.
“As the world is going through many tribulations from natural disasters, financial crises, and man-made hardships, there is a great need for divine help,” states the author. “Intercessors, standing on a rock solid foundation, are desperately needed to touch the heart of God with fervent and effectual prayers which avail much.”
After serving as a pastor for more than forty-four years, including thirteen years as a pastor and church planter and almost thirty years as an active duty army Chaplain, James retired from the military at the rank of Colonel. In 2010, James and his wife, Gloria, moved to Columbia, South Carolina in order to write books, teach seminars, and mentor many spiritual sons and daughters around the world. James is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology; Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas with a Master’s degree in Theology, and the US Army Command and General Staff College.
