Leading Edge Aviation Services (LEAS), the world’s largest commercial aircraft painting company, announced today that Mark Wallace has joined the company in the position of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. In his new role, Mark will lead the company’s finance and accounting teams in support of the company’s substantial growth, particularly in light of the recent partnership with Vance Street Capital.
“Mark joins Leading Edge at a pivotal time in the company’s history,” says Mike Manclark, founder and CEO of Leading Edge Aviation Services. “As we add new services to our portfolio and continue to expand our reach into the commercial, military and VIP markets, Leading Edge has gained worldwide recognition as the leader in the aircraft painting industry. Our recent 2012 MRO of the Year Award and milestone achievements with United and Boeing are just the latest feats. Bringing Mark onboard is part of the long-term strategy to insure our continued success.”
Prior to joining Leading Edge, Mark has worked at private and publicly traded aerospace manufacturing companies, diversified industrial holding corporations, as well as real estate investment trusts with revenues exceeding $2 billion. With vast experience in organization change management, he has strategically led international teams in implementing Six Sigma, LEAN, SAP and process reengineering at numerous companies. “As a private pilot for small aircraft, Leading Edge seemed like a natural fit from the beginning,” says Mark. “I’m excited about the U.S. and international growth LEAS has and working with the team to continue the Company’s success.”
Mark holds a Master’s degree in Business from Colorado State University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant. He started his career at Arthur Andersen in the Dallas office. Mark currently resides in Huntington Beach with his wife Michele.
