The Orlando law office of Katz & Phillips, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of Catherine “Katie” Gleason. Gleason joins the firm’s criminal defense practice in Gainesville, Florida.
Her practice focuses on the representation of individuals in criminal matters ranging from criminal traffic infractions to attempted first-degree murder.
Gleason brings extensive trial experience in state and federal criminal courts. She has successfully represented numerous people in a wide variety of criminal defense cases from simple misdemeanors to life felonies. With her jury trial experience, Gleason understands the importance of thorough preparation and a measured presence in the courtroom.

As evidence of her willingness to fight to protect the rights of her clients, Gleason worked with the Innocence Project, assisting individuals with post conviction relief. Upon the discovery of new evidence the Innocence Project helps many individuals obtain new trials and overturn convictions.
Gleason is admitted to practice throughout the State of Florida as well as in the United States District Court, Northern District of Florida and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. She has been practicing law in Gainesville, FL throughout her legal career.
She is a member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Gleason graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Criminology in 1999. She received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Sheppard Broad Law Center in 2003.
