Our Preferred Member recruiters have been in the business this long for a reason: they’re the best at what they do.

Recruiting, by its very nature, is a difficult profession. There are ups and downs that can make even the most hardened recruiter uneasy. As a result, there are many people who enter the profession who don’t stay in it for very long.
However, according to a recent poll conducted by Top Echelon Network, an elite network of highly specialized search firms, over 40% of respondents indicated that they’ve been in the recruiting profession for over 20 years.
As part of that poll, Top Echelon asked the following question: “How long have you been a recruiter?”
Over 40% of respondents (43.9%) indicated that they’ve been a recruiter for over 20 years. In addition, 13.3% chose “between 16 and 20 years” as their answer, meaning that 57.2% of the recruiters participating in the poll have been in the profession for 16 years or more.
The second-most popular response among those recruiters who participated in the poll was “between 11 and 15 years” at 25.5%. In addition, 11.2% of poll participants chose “between 5 and 10 years” as their answer, and the remaining 6.1% opted for “less than five years.”
According to Top Echelon Network Membership Coordinator Drea Codispoti, CPC/CERS, the results of the poll illustrate that the recruiters in Top Echelon Network have not only been in the profession for quite some time, but they’ve also enjoyed a certain level of success.
“The average tenure of a Top Echelon Network recruiter is at least 15 years,” said Codispoti, “and judging by the results of this poll, it might even be longer than that. Top Echelon Network is an elite network of highly specialized search firms. It’s also a network of highly successful search firms.
“Our Preferred Member recruiters have been in the business this long for a reason: they’re the best at what they do. They get results and they find the candidates that their clients want the most. Not only that, but they leverage the power of the Network to find those candidates they can’t uncover on their own. They understand the value of split placements and how the revenue generated by split placements can contribute to the profitability of their firm.”
Top Echelon Network conducted this poll of its Preferred Member recruiters during the week of Monday, September 24, through Sunday, September 30.
Top Echelon Network was founded in 1988 in Canton, Ohio.
