I would assist my company in technological and system-based advances that would help keep this world-class Museum among one of the top visited by tourists and locals.

NetCom Learning, the innovative leader in IT, business and executive training company, announced it has awarded its July 2012 Sarder Scholarship to Samantha Oliveri to allow her to focus on building skills in programming and database coursework.

Oliveri said in her 10-year career she’s worked in several casino box offices and for a ticket broker company before landing her current job at the Mob Museum. However both of her parents work at hospitals in the IT field. “They were disappointed I didn’t take to computers right away,” she said.

Though she has some experience in database and green screen technology, she would like to use the scholarship to focus on furthering her current position.
“I would assist my company in technological and system advances that would help make our world class museum the new Las Vegas hotspot for locals and tourists—and teach them something!” she said.

Russell Sarder, NetCom Learning CEO and Sarder Scholarship namesake said it’s always a rewarding experience to award such an enthusiastic recipient the Sarder Scholarship.

“The Sarder Scholarship was set up to encourage others to continue learning so it’s a pleasure to award the scholarship to someone who is enthusiastic about learning and growing in their respective industry,” Sarder said.

Oliveri said she’s always been a do-it-yourself person, a problem solver and someone who enjoys coaching and teaching others. She added that she prides herself in learning new things and accomplishing goals for herself as well as her company.

“This scholarship would not only strengthen my abilities so I can help our first year company to become more than we envisioned, as we take a modern themed museum and add modernized technological exhibits. My new skills will also allow us to better communicate with our guests and clients, exceeding their expectations, while making the material more exciting and fun to learn,” She said.
