When you’re nearing the edges of life, you question how you’re living and the possibility of life after death.
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) October 18, 2012
Hell might be other people, but both heaven and hell could be one’s own self.
In her new novel Heaven or Hell, author Roni Teson abandons the restraints of realism for characters who encounter supernatural experiences as they reconcile with their past. Speaking to tragedy, loss and triumphant resurrection, they each face a personal heaven and hell on earth.
“When you’re nearing the edges of life, you question how you’re living and the possibility of life after death,” Teson says. “I love playing with these subjects to get people thinking, because no matter what a person believes they’re undeniably relevant to all of us.”
From a fatal accident of a friend in childhood to her cancer diagnoses, the author infused her fascination of near-death experiences into ordinary, flawed characters in modern-day Los Angeles.
Teson, a breast cancer survivor, wrote and finished the book throughout chemotherapy after a stage IV cancer diagnoses. She says writing the novel played a critical role in her recovery process.
