Adam Ewart, founder of Send My Bag said: "We want to revolutionise how people travel and send their luggage."

Send My Bag, a provider of cost-effective baggage transportation, announced today that it is significantly reducing its prices on a number of routes. The revised price package makes Send My Bag a considerably cheaper option for baggage shipping than via low cost airlines. These cuts come into force just in time for the ski season, and as people begin to arrange their festive travel plans.
The company, founded by entrepreneur Adam Ewart, aims to fight back against the complicated and expensive luggage costs imposed by low cost airlines. With these new lower prices, Send My Bag offers even more competitive value to customers wanting to ship luggage across the country or overseas, whether for leisure, study or business.
Within Great Britain, the cost of sending one piece of luggage has been reduced from £22 to £16 one way, so, for example, sending one bag return from Edinburgh to London will now only cost £32. Sending a bag from mainland Great Britain to Northern Ireland one way is now only £19, a saving of 36%, meaning a return package from Manchester to Belfast costs just £38, significantly less than what it would cost if booked via air travel.
For EU transportation, fees are nearly half the price as before. The cost for a piece of luggage going to the Benelux regions (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) is now £26, down from £50. Sending bags to France and Germany is now only £28, and just £30 to Spain, Portugal, Sweden and Denmark. The most substantial savings to be made are for sending luggage from Europe to the UK. Previously, Send My Bag charged higher inbound costs averaging £80, and these have now been reduced to around £30. This means delivery for a UK-France return is now only £56.
Adam Ewart comments: “We want to revolutionise how people travel and send their luggage. The public are getting increasingly fed up with the confusing rules and expensive fines imposed by the low cost airlines and are looking for alternatives. They should not have to tolerate this pricey, poor service because there are other options available.
“We have seen significant growth in recent months, which has allowed us to reduce costs as a company, and we want to pass these savings on to our customers. Not only do our prices offer better value than every low cost airline operating in the UK, but the service significantly reduces any stress or inconvenience the customer may have to endure.”
Baggage transportation can be booked online via http://www.sendmybag.com and in some cases this door-to-door service can be arranged within 24 hours. Each piece of luggage has a weight allowance of 30 kgs, which is on average 50% more than the majority of airlines, and no additional administration or credit fees are charged.
