Ohio’s Top Digital, Interactive Professionals Showcasing Talent, Innovation at Ohio Interactive Awards Oct. 25

Monica Day of NBC 4 Columbus is serving as emcee, Jeff Rohrs of ExactTarget is serving as keynote speaker of the annual Ohio Interactive Awards at the Ohio Union on the Ohio State University campus. The awards program celebrates and recognizes Ohio’s creative talent and the exceptional work produced by the interactive marketing community.

The Ohio Interactive Awards is hosting its annual recognition ceremony saluting the top digital and interactive talent in the state beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Ohio Union on the Ohio State University campus at 1739 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio.

A total of 14 awards are being presented in three categories: Campaign, Sectors/Industry and Thought Leadership. A panel of judges comprised of marketing industry leaders who work with and represent Fortune 500 companies and some of the world’s most recognizable brands have reviewed more than 70 entries from across the state to determine the winners. Entries this year increased nearly 50 percent over last year.

New this year is an opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge in the digital and interactive space through a panel discussion, which will cover top trends and changes to look for in 2013, and a presentation by TeamBuilder Search on The 4P's of Cultural Fit: Applying Cultural Fit to Building Digital Teams.

Monica Day, traffic and entertainment reporter for NBC 4 Columbus is the emcee for the evening’s program. Day was Miss Ohio USA 2008 and represented the Buckeye State in the Miss USA competition where she won the title of Miss Congeniality. She has been featured as a National Anthem singer for the Columbus Crew, and served as emcee for the Columbus Destroyers in 2005. She is the official emcee for the Cinderella Scholarship Program and the Miss Columbus Teen Pageant.

Jeff Rohrs, VP of Marketing at ExactTarget, will be the keynote speaker at the awards program discussing the latest trends and what’s next in the coming year. While heading up the Marketing Research & Education Group at ExactTarget, Jeff co-authors the Subscribers, Fans & Followers research series, and spearheads the company’s Connections User Conference programming and Subscribers Rule! philosophy.

Cost for an individual ticket is $45 which can be purchased prior to the event online at http://ohiointeractiveawards.com/; cost includes hors d'œuvres. There will be a cash bar and parking is available in the Ohio Union South and North Garages located adjacent to the north side of the building with access from High Street and College Road. Networking and cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the awards program at 6:30 p.m.
