Stiltz's lifts beat the competition hands down by its small footprint, technical brilliance and elegant design. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stiltz and their lifts."
Wokingham, Berkshire (PRWEB UK) 19 October 2012
Stiltz Lifts is delighted to announce it successfully carried out its first installation of the new Stiltz polycarbonate lift in France.
Members of the Wokingham-based team travelled to Cazillac in Midi-Pyrenees earlier this week after the company was contacted by Raymond Fuller.
Mr Fuller contacted home lifts specialists Stiltz about installing a lift in the home he shares with his wife after finding the company on the internet.
Cridwynn Fuller, 65, has severe chronic mobility problems and was finding it exhausting, distressing and very time consuming to climb the stairs.
The couple decided against the option of a stairlift as it was an ‘unattractive alternative’ compared to Stiltz’s polycarbonate home lifts which they have had installed in their living room.
Mr Fuller, 69, said: “We rejected the idea of stairlifts because the track in particular does nothing to enhance appearance of stairs and the seats themselves are generally unattractive.
“We also felt that riding a stairlift somehow undermines the user's dignity. We decided on Stiltz’s polycarbonate lift because of its elegance and unobtrusive character.”
When Stiltz designed the polycarbonate lift the aim was to make the product as neutral and as aesthetically pleasing as possible. In the case of Mr Fuller’s project because the Stiltz lift has a free standing rail structure it was able to be situated in the stairwell void – a unique feature of Stiltz’s home lifts.
The polycarbonate lift’s appearance and the fact it takes up such little space in their living room compared to a more conventional lift was another reason why Mr Fuller was so delighted with the end result.
Mr Fuller said: “The lift does not steal space from the room and by being transparent it just dissolves into the room's decor and furnishings.”
After researching the lift market online and speaking to several French lift suppliers, Mr Fuller found http://www.stiltz.co.uk under a web search for ‘domestic lifts’.
He says he decided to go with Stiltz because their home lifts were competitive on price and far superior in design.
Mr Fuller said: “I had no idea how much domestic lifts cost before my research and was not really aware that a domestic lift was a realistic option. I looked at a number of lift systems and designs and obtained a number of quotations from French suppliers.
“Stiltz were no more expensive than the French alternatives but their lifts beat the competition hands down by the small footprint of the lift, its technical brilliance and its elegant design.”
Mr Fuller says he had no hesitation in recommending Stiltz’s home lifts and was full of praise for the Stiltz team’s knowledge and professionalism.
Mr Fuller said: “I am absolutely delighted with the installation. It is even better than what I had hoped for and from my experience I would recommend Stiltz and their lifts wholeheartedly and without reservation.
“The team has been helpful, constructive and cooperative from the start. I was highly impressed by the careful consideration of customer preferences at all stages and, during the installation, by the competence, ingenuity, attention to detail and dedication of the two-man team.
“The work was completed in essentially two days, leaving absolutely no mess and a very satisfied customer.”

Stiltz is the sole supplier, manufacturer and installer of the Stiltz home lift. Based in Wokingham, Berkshire, the company was founded in the United Kingdom and has offices in China.
Stiltz gained its experience designing domestic lifts and elevators in Australia for more than two decades. The lifts are through-floor and fit in the home - the first of their kind to be available in the UK.
The company developed the lift to make life easier for elderly or disabled people and help them to stay in their own homes for longer when stairs become too much.
Unlike stairlifts, the Stiltz lift carries two people comfortably and is a hassle-free and cost-effective alternative to a stairlift.
Stiltz’s lifts do not need fixing to walls and can be fitted anywhere in the home with no major building work. It has the smallest footprint for a residential lift on the market and is very quiet because it does not use hydraulics.
The Stiltz lift was created in 1994 when its inventor created a prototype and installed it in his own home. Since then with input and technological enhancements from Stiltz and its experienced engineering team, the company is now recognised as one of the most innovative in the lifts industry.
