Anaheim, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2012
This Saturday, October 20, from 3-5 pm, Angel Stadium will host the STAND UP FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM event where nationally known speakers from many faith traditions will address the attack on religious freedom through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandate that requires employers to pay through insurance for things with which many faith-based organizations are in strict opposition.
National child advocate and author, Rhonda Sciortino, will be talking about the #1 form of child abuse, which she says is abortion. Sciortino quotes Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as saying, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." She goes on to say, "Christians have stood by for forty years and allowed our society to be diminished to the point that what is bad is considered acceptable behavior. If we don't rise up and stand up for our beliefs now, there may come a day when we no longer have that option."
The Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally in Anaheim is a non-partisan, family-friendly event designed to help people of faith take action to protect religious freedom regardless of who occupies the White House in 2013. There will be free admission and parking, entertainment, local food trucks, voter registration, passionate speakers from many faith traditions, and more. For information, go to http://www.u4rf.org.
