We believe it is important to inform diabetics and their loved ones about the risks of not testing regularly and to provide them with quality, affordable supplies that will allow them to do so.

Advanced Affordable Diabetics was recently the proud recipient of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year Award. Given out to businesses that give back to their community, Advanced Affordable Diabetics was rewarded for their consistent drive to bring diabetes awareness and affordable solutions to local residents.
One such event was the South Florida Health and Wellness Expo, a three-day event held to promote awareness of local care providers in Miami. Ileana Miranda, the president of Advanced Affordable Diabetics and Board member for the South Florida Hispanic Chamber Health and Wellness Expo says, “Advanced Affordable Diabetics understands the high cost of treatment and supplies that many people affected by diabetes face. Through events like the South Florida Health and Wellness Expo, we work to bring uninsured and underinsured residents, who are struggling to manage their diabetes, awareness about the affordable solutions available to them.” Anyone requiring a diabetic screening received it for free during this Expo. Participants were also given free supplies like strips and tests.
Due to the high cost of supplies, many people aren’t testing themselves as often as they should. This is dangerous because, without proper monitoring, diabetes can be fatal. “We cater to individuals that have diabetes and no insurance, or are under insured, that do not qualify for Medicare or have high prescription co-payments. Our supplies are significantly less expensive than the cost of these co-payments,” says Ileana, “We believe it is important to inform diabetics and their loved ones about the risks of not testing regularly and to provide them with quality, affordable supplies that will allow them to do so.”
Advanced Affordable Diabetics is a Miami-based company committed to bringing diabetic solutions to those who are uninsured, do not qualify for Medicare or who have high prescription co-payments. They understand the necessity of testing regularly and work to provide those affected by diabetes accurate testing supplies.
