New Third Party Integrations and Enhanced Features Advances ALM Platform for Integrated Requirement, Quality and Agile Management

TechExcel Inc., a leading provider of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the new version of its unified platform for integrated requirement, quality and Agile management. A detailed overview of new features and special DevSuite 9.1 promotions is available at

“TechExcel is dedicated to helping enterprises achieve a greater balance of effective management processes and repeatable application development processes,” said Tieren Zhou, TechExcel Founder and Chief Software Architect. “With these expanded features and integration with products teams may already be using, DevSuite bridges the gap between business stakeholders and development teams to optimize the entire software development lifecycle.”

DevSuite handles everything from gathering and managing requirements, through planning the development process, to tracking issues, managing the test process, and managing the application portfolio. Customer-requested enhancements to the latest release focus on five main areas:

  • Improved Agile Support

Supporting Agile, hybrid, as well as traditional waterfall methods, the new DevSuite story boards, task boards, reporting and planning review tools make it even easier to manage projects. DevSuite also provides team leaders with a single interface for managing multiple methodologies across multiple teams and projects.

  • Enhanced Integration with MS Word and Third Party Bug Tracking Tools

With seamless bi-directional synchronization with MS Word for requirements editing and automatic specification creation, DevSuite user can now also view child spec requirements
within a Word document via the converted Flash of PDF using a web browser. Additionally, associate test results from the leading test management solution, DevTest, can be easily integrated with popular third party bug tracking tools such as Jira®, Bugzilla® and Mantis®.

  • Greater Usability

DevSuite now enables project leaders to easily create and deploy workflow from the Web based interface, as well as track metrics in real time. The enhanced UI also offers easy access to processes and resources including portfolio management, requirements, development, and testing. The sprint planning view provides easy access to linked requirements, release backlogs, and product/defect backlogs with drag and drop to populate the sprint.

  • Expanded Support for Mobile Users

DevSuite also enables portfolio level reporting, document management, and much more via iOS and Android applications. The newly-enhanced MyDevSuite 2.0 tablet application enables users to check project status, browse development folders and view tasks under each milestone or sprint, view requirements, launch or join online meetings, and record audio clips for documents and save as annotations.

  •     Dynamic Reporting

DevSuite’s new integrated report view allows users to view reports within the sub-project tree, based on a particular sprint, milestone or sub-project. With the new Portfolio module, organizations can quickly make business decisions based on project health through risk, financials and customer satisfaction indicators for each project.

Available in hosted or on-premise deployment models, TechExcel DevSuite is offered as an integrated suite or as individual components that allow organizations to build their ALM solution incrementally. For a detailed product description and live demonstration, visit
