CipherHealth is pleased to announce their selection by the New York eHealth Collaborative as a one of eight innovative companies to participate in the New York Digital Health Accelerator Program. The program, which received 250 applications from across the US, provides access to the State Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY) and mentorship from key providers and healthcare-focused venture capital firms in the state. The award was based on CipherHealth’s capabilities in the areas of care coordination, alerting and escalation, analytics, and care plan management.

This is an important step for our company, a demonstration of the strong technical foundation we have built and a powerful testimonial to the value of what we bring to hospitals in the US. Through priority access to the SHIN-NY, we will be able to better coordinate care for our hospital clients and further drive reductions in readmissions. The implications for both the patient and the hospitals in New York are dramatic,” said Zachary Silverzweig, an executive at the firm.
Among the world of HIEs, SHIN-NY stands out as a national leader. A major initiative of the NY eHealth Collaborative, SHIN-NY is helping to define the standards that will shape HIEs from New York to California as part of an NYeC-led coalition. This coalition includes numerous HIEs, EMRs and other state, for-profit, and non-for-profit organizations.
Prior to the award, CipherHealth presented to a panel of 75 investors, New York health provider executives, members of the New York eHealth Collaborative and other representatives of the New York healthcare community. This recognition for CipherHealth comes on the heels of having been selected as a top innovator at the NY Venture Summit.
