ClickWebinar, the leading videoconferencing software provider, announced the launch of their Facebook app. Now, a Fan Page Admin can host the entire meeting — from invitations to presentation to post-meeting feedback — inside the Facebook environment. These face-to-face encounters can be used to foster and reinforce the community feeling for an organization’s Facebook fans.

Through Facebook’s developer portal, the ClickWebinar Application Programming Interface (API) enables presenters and participants to join a meeting or webinar and transmits the live audio-video stream through a Facebook fan page.

This means the organizer (presenter) can now perform meeting setup tasks as usual inside their ClickWebinar account—including preparing their presentation, creating whiteboard notes, and loading Youtube videos, as well as enabling chat windows and granting permission for multi-presenter camera views.
Then, with just a few clicks, the organizer can activate any meeting or webinar in Facebook. Invitations can be posted on the Fan page wall or sent in individual messages to selected participants. Optionally, tokens or passwords can limit the access to invited participants only.
FOR WEBINAR PARTICIPANTS
To enter a meeting, a Fan (participant) can go to the ClickWebinar fan page and click the ClickWebinar App bookmark to find and join the meeting. But the more likely scenario is for the participant to click the link published on the host’s fan page or click the meeting link they received in a Facebook invitation.
When the participant clicks the “Join” button, a screen prompts him to enter a password or token, if the presenter has protected access to the meeting. The participant waits in a “lobby” if the meeting has not yet started or is automatically redirected to the meeting if in-progress. At the conclusion of the meeting, participants are redirected to a feedback page to enter comments or reviews.
