The last few years have been phenomenal in terms of expansion, and as a result, it became clear that we’d outgrown our Ettingshall headquarters.

Angel Springs, the UK’s longest-established water cooler firm, has moved its headquarters to larger premises in Wolverhampton.

The company has shifted its Midlands operations from premises on Spring Road, Ettingshall, to a 1.2-acre site on Shaw Road, Bushbury. The new building boasts improved commercial facilities and 10,000 square feet of floor space.

It is the first time that the water cooler supplier has relocated in 12 years.

The relocation comes after a raft of contract wins for the company over the last three months, with the move being key to Angel Springs’ plans for further expansion.

Having seen its customer base grow by around 1,000 customers per month, the firm is set to bolster its operations by recruiting new customer service, administration and sales staff.

The company already services around 35,000 customers across the UK, with a client base ranging from small enterprises to large organisations such as Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club and the BBC.

John Murphy, Angel Springs’ commercial director, said: “The last few years have been phenomenal in terms of expansion, and as a result, it became clear that we’d outgrown our Ettingshall headquarters.

“We needed larger premises that would allow us to continue our high standards of service and support our growing Midlands customer base effectively.

“The new Bushbury premises fit the bill perfectly. They’re much larger, so they can accommodate our operations as they stand, and also allow for further expansion in future. And, importantly, they allow us to stay close to our roots in Wolverhampton. It couldn’t have been more successful.”

The relocation and new business wins are only the latest developments in the company’s ongoing expansion plan.

Last year, Angel Springs improved its servicing capacity in the east and West Midlands by acquiring a 50% stake in the Fillongley Spring Water bottling plant.
