“Middle income customers continue to have a need to protect their families and cover debt with life insurance,” said Craig Simms, Senior Vice President at Vantis Life.

Vantis Life Insurance Company today announced that its double-digit growth in new recurring life insurance sales continued through the third quarter of 2012. At the end of the third quarter, the company reported a 12% increase in sales versus the same period in 2011. Growth came from large and small client banks, according to the company.

“Middle income customers continue to have a need to protect their families and cover debt with life insurance,” said Craig Simms, Senior Vice President at Vantis Life. “Increasingly, banks are filling this need that is being unmet by larger life insurance companies who are typically focused on more affluent families and business owners.”

Quarterly recurring life insurance sales increased by 10 percent in the first quarter of 2012 versus 2011 and by11 percent in the second quarter, compared to the same quarter a year earlier.

Vantis Life is focused on helping banks and credit unions offer a basic menu of life insurance products to help reach more of their core middle income customers. The company’s growth is driven by a unique business plan that provides best-in-class technology, superior wholesaling, marketing and training support for more than 100 financial institution partners nationwide.

“We continue to add more partner banks throughout our national footprint,” said Simms. “We have seen life insurance premium increase significantly from larger banks like TD Bank, People’s United Bank and Regions Bank as well as mid-sized banks like Astoria Federal Savings which is one of the preeminent sellers of life insurance among all banks nationally.”

Vantis Life is focused on providing financial institutions and their customers with a variety of life insurance and annuity products. These products are offered by licensed bankers and financial advisors via an award-winning online process and supported by best-in-class wholesaling and access to Vantis University, the company’s exclusive online, WebEx and in-person training and development resource. Vantis Life also offers referral-only programs, web-based marketing and other methods that banks and credit unions can use to offer life insurance even if they choose not to sell via their own employees.
