Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) October 19, 2012
Hair transplant physician, Dr. Lawrence Shapiro, addressed the international success of his supplements by urging his peers to re-evaluate the effect of common nutritional substances on hair growth and regrowth. The keynote discourse took place at 8pm on October 17, 2012 at the ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting held on Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
“The average consumer does not realize that hair-loss is a very real potential side effect from products like work-out supplements, energy drinks, and protein shakes,” Dr. Shapiro stated, “they should come with a warning label.”
In response to this discovery, Dr. Shapiro has devoted years of observation and research to developing a line of products as part of a procedure called Accelerated Follicular Restoration (AFR). He has also created the “Shapiro High Anabolic Profile Index Ratings and Overview Chart” which further details the science behind the dangers of certain nutritional supplements and their contribution to hair loss. Dr. Shapiro’s research is supported by over one hundred scientific references and his findings are set to be published in the 15th volume of The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine’s textbook, Anti-Aging Therapeutics.
A study of 115 hair transplant patients demonstrated that when using Dr. Shapiro’s HelpHair Shake, the key component of the AFR protocol, 100% of the participants showed early regrowth between six and eight weeks after their procedure. This is a 50% reduction in time for a normal early regrowth period.
AFR is currently employed by participating physicians across the United States and around the world that have reproduced Dr. Shapiro’s results on an international scale. These include doctors from Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and Brazil. Among them also are the current and past presidents of the ISHRS. At this point, over 800 patients have been successfully treated using Dr. Shapiro’s products, and the AFR method is being implemented in fifteen hair transplant clinics worldwide.
This exposure has allowed Dr. Shapiro’s techniques and HelpHair Shake to be used in a variety of circumstances. Even without surgical techniques, HelpHair Shake has been demonstrated to make existing hair look thicker and healthier. In a case in Australia, a patient suffered hair loss as a result of energy drink consumption. After just two months on the HelpHair Shake regimen, the patient saw an incredible amount of regrowth. Due to a diagnosis of severe Alopecia Totalis, another patient suffered extreme hair loss for over a decade, leaving patches of baldness all over her scalp. Just three months into the implementation of Dr. Shapiro’s methods, significant regrowth was visible in patches where hair had been missing for years.
It is this type of needless suffering that Dr. Shapiro is determined to eradicate through education about the dangers of anabolic substances and the scientific breakthroughs of his methodology in treating hair loss.
Throughout the entirety of the ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting, from October 17th through the 21st, Dr. Shapiro’s findings as well as his AFR method will be available at booth #23. The doctor l also presented his Low Anabolic Profile Poster in the main hall at 4pm on October 18th. Immediately following at 4:30pm, Dr. Shapiro will host a 45 minute roundtable discussion on supplements in a segment called “Coffee with the Experts.”
