The Joshua Spies Art Exhibit has been extended through Christmas at the Redlin Art Center in Watertown, South Dakota.

The exhibit, which has been on display since August 1 of this year, is comprised of more than 30 pieces of Spies' artwork, including both original art and reproductions from the artist’s collection. Spies' 2009 Federal Duck Stamp and 2011 Safari Club International Artist of the Year pieces are both on display, as well as a number of pencil sketches and early work.

“Josh is a family friend. I can remember my father sitting with Josh in his studio. My father knew Josh had great talent,” Charles Redlin recalls.

In addition to the exhibit, Spies has both prints and gift products available for purchase in the "Comforts of Home Cabin" on the lower level of the Redlin Art Center. Spies' book "Painting from Real Life Experiences" is one of several products available.

The Redlin Art Center is a gift from Terry Redlin and the Redlin family. In 1997, the Redlin Art Center opened its doors to the public and has welcomed nearly 3 million visitors from all over the world. The Joshua Spies Exhibit will be on display at the Redlin Art Center until Christmas and is located in the lower level gallery of the Redlin Art Center. The Redlin Art Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 12 to 4 pm. Admission is free.
