A cyclist has received over 50,000 YouTube hits after his helmet cam caught a policeman undertaking him in a bus lane in London.
The cyclist’s helmet-mounted camera filmed as he crossed Westminster Bridge and pulled into an outside lane to avoid a bus and another vehicle as he approached Lambeth North. The marked police 4x4 Range Rover then used a bus lane to pass on the inside of him.
Upon catching up with the car, the unnamed cyclist caught up with the car and challenged the policeman about his driving. The policeman declined to give his badge number and did not apologise.
More and more cyclists are wearing helmet cameras to record video evidence in case they have an accident. Private Detective Portsmouth often use and install CCTV and covet cameras for reasons such as employee monitoring and home security.
A spokesperson from Private Detective Portsmouth said:
“CCTV and covet cameras are useful tools to record crime and accidents to gather evidence. All too often criminals and those at fault are able to get away with their behaviour as there is no proof. By staying one step ahead and being vigilant by investing in recording devices, people are able to protect themselves.”
