Restaurants use Punchh to harness the power of word of mouth using social media tools to drive business and produce measurable, bottom-line results.

"Punchh offers the best combination of mobile, social and loyalty technologies that operators need to engage loyal customers while delivering measurable ROI," said Jitendra Gupta, CEO of Punchh.

More than 100 top-level restaurant executives will play Punchh’s AppScanWin game at the Fast Casual Executive Summit, Oct. 21-23, in San Diego, to experience next-generation customer engagement for restaurants.

The annual Fast Casual Executive Summit unites restaurant professionals, all at the level of vice president and above, from major chains including Boudin Bakery, Pacific Catch and Rita’s Italian Ice, to share common interests and concerns. As an event sponsor, Punchh, the first and only smartphone-based social loyalty platform created for restaurants, worked with event organizers to develop a game to help executives engage at the conference and learn about its mobile technology.

According to Jitendra Gupta, CEO of Punchh, the game simulates the way restaurant customers will use the Punchh app. He added that Punchh offers the best combination of mobile, social and loyalty technologies that operators need to engage loyal customers while delivering measurable ROI. Jonathan Fornaci, CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice, will present the case for his decision to implement Punchh throughout Rita’s 625-unit system at the “Show Me the Money: Word of Mouth Marketing in the Mobile Era” session during the event.

“As business leaders, everything we do must equate to bottom-line results,” Fornaci said. “If 75 percent of our customers are willing to refer our brand to their friends, and 55 percent of customers carry smart phones, then we want to engage them and reward them for their loyalty and referrals using social media on mobile devices.”

The game begins as the conference kicks off with executives downloading the Punchh app onto their mobile devices. Throughout the day, they will receive push notifications and will scan QR codes right from their phones, to check into conference sessions. They can post reviews that will be displayed on digital dashboards at the event. Those who accumulate five Punchhes will win prizes, similar to the way restaurant operators use Punchh to reward their own loyal customers.
