The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (The Alliance) today announced the selection of Miami as ‘Host City’ and naming of the University of Miami School of Business Administration as Academic Partner for its Winter Conference – ‘The Middle Market-Our World of Opportunity in 2013’ on January 14-17, 2013 in Miami, Florida.
According to the Alliance leadership, these selections serve as an important step to better serve and harness the resources, opportunities and players within this highly fragmented sector. “Our goal, with this Conference and with selecting Miami, the port of call for North American and cross-border opportunity, as the Host City, and the appointment of the University of Miami School of Business as the Academic Partner, is to accelerate the role of the middle market as a massive engine to transform business, renew prosperity and drive economic opportunities – both here in the U.S. and around the globe – immediately and over the long term,” offered Michael Nall, CEO and Co-Founder of the Alliance.
In selecting Miami as the Host City for the Conference, leading executives, investors, intermediaries, and trusted advisors who share a passion and focus on driving performance and deal making in the middle market – those companies with transaction value between $5 and $500 million will have the opportunity to gather together in the ‘gateway to Latin America,’ in one of the most critically important business, economic, and investor regions of the U.S., offered Benjamin Roberts, a Conference Committee Member, and Managing Partner of Bergin, Roberts & Co, a leading South Florida-Based investment and finance firm.
As Academic Partner for this Conference, the University of Miami School of Business Administration will provide direction and support from its esteemed faculty, staff and select MBA students to exponentially increase the effectiveness for live and virtual knowledge-sharing at the Conference and drive qualified knowledge exchange and collaborative learning opportunities to the middle market business owners, C-suite executives, investors, intermediaries and advisors who are being brought together. Amelia Rae Maguire, Associate Dean of Executive Education at the University of Miami School of Business, stated, “One of our primary goals at this conference is to leverage our distinguished faculty, alumni and staff to facilitate and foster immediate and ongoing connections, collaborative learning and exchange between these decision makers, deal makers and trusted in this critically important, yet fragmented segment of the global marketplace.”
