HAMILTON, MT -- They’re new, beautiful and considered fine art.

These beautiful pieces of art are showcased on Mr. Crandall’s new site, http://www.Jcrandallpinupart.com, and feature 10 works available to purchase directly from Mr. Crandall himself. Recently, his new artwork has been featured in Pinup America and Pin Up Magazine.

One of Mr. Crandall’s most famous pinup painting, SIX SHOOTERS, features cowgirl Kimbra coyly glancing over her shoulder, posing with her two nickel-plated Single Action six shooters as Chuck Hall in his well-known P-51 Mustang “Six Shooter,” flashes by in front of the U.S. Army Air Force emblem. This original 40-inch by 30-inch oil and acrylic painting fetches $4,500. Limited edition Giclée canvas prints, 24” X 18” are available for $395.00.

Pinup art dates back to WWII, when soldiers used to “pin up” portraits of girls in their locker. They were also painted on the noses of many fighter and bomber aircraft, a practice that continues to this day. These planes and special artwork holds a strong interest with Mr. Crandall.

Popular pinup paintings are featured in “Man rooms” and gentleman clubs across the United States. They’re pieces of art that are enjoying a strong resurgence showing more class and appeal than celebrities of today.

“These are beloved, elegant ladies, not erotic or raw,” said Judy Crandall, Jerry’s wife.

Along with Crandall’s oil and acrylic pieces, his pinup art pieces are also available in Gilcée Prints and puzzles and posters for the special collector.

Recently, Mr. Crandall combined his brilliant portrait paintings with one of the most famous pinup ladies in the world, Marilyn Monroe. This 48-inch by 36-inch oil/acrylic is a must for any Marilyn Monroe aficionado, and the painting is also available in Glicee canvas as well.

“His rendition of Marilyn Monroe’s portrait is truly one of his best works,” Crandall said. “It’s soft yet elegant. It’s really a must have for collectors.”
