Hometown Health TV was named the 2012 Incubator Client of the Year by the National Business Incubator Association.

As a result of our efforts, the company has enjoyed an average 36 % growth year-over-year and we are especially proud that we have outpaced the UCF Incubator Program’s anticipated three-year entrepreneurial plan for its clients.

A steady growth in business and its client base has prompted award winning Hometown Health TV, LLC (http://www.YourHometownHealth.com) to graduate from the University of Central Florida’s Leesburg Business Incubator program.

According to company president, Marc Robertz-Schwartz, Hometown Health TV has moved out of the Leesburg incubator building and into offices in downtown Leesburg, located at 116 Orange Avenue, and has contracted a full-time videographer/editor to keep up with client demand.

“We are actively seeking additional specialized staff to be a part of our exciting organization which has been recognized internationally for our innovative business model,” said Robertz-Schwartz. “As a result of our efforts, the company has enjoyed an average 36 % growth year-over-year and we are especially proud that we have outpaced the UCF Incubator Program’s anticipated three-year entrepreneurial plan for its clients.” Hometown Health TV launched in 2009 and entered the Leesburg incubator in January 2010.

Hometown Health TV produces a monthly, hour-long health and wellness video and web program that features Lake County and The Villages medical practitioners as well as a number of community organizations and events.

In 2011, Hometown Health TV launched subsidiary, Apple Seed Marketing, in order to meet the market’s demand for multimedia marketing, production, branding and consulting services beyond the monthly “Hometown Health” video program. Clients include the Lake County Department of Economic Development and Tourism, ERA Tom Grizzard Realty and LifeStream Behavioral Center.

The UCF Business Incubator – in partnership with Lake County and the City of Leesburg - facilitates smarter, faster startup and growth of emerging companies so those companies will become financially successful, high growth organizations in the community. Incubator clients are provided an array of business development services during the three-year program.

“Hometown Health TV epitomizes the intent and success of business incubator programs,” said Gordon Hogan, director of the UCF Business Incubator Program. “Marc took full advantage of the resources the program offered him and, at the same time, has always been willing to share his expertise and insight to benefit other incubator clients as well as the community where he does business.”

Robertz-Schwartz and Hometown Health TV was named the 2012 National Incubator Client of the Year (non-technical division) by the National Business Incubator Association and the Lake County Community Service Award.
