Teen summer travel organization Moondance Adventures has announced that their 2013 catalog will be printed in early November. The 64-page catalog will share information and photos for Moondance’s 18 different adventure programs for teens in the Discovery, Multisport, Leadership and Community Service categories.
New trips for the upcoming summer include two community service programs: one to Belize & Costa Rica for current 8th and 9th graders as well as a Thailand adventure for current 10th–12th graders. Additionally, this year’s catalog showcases new programs for adults and families. Spring Break destinations, suitable for families with children 10 and up, include Hawaii and Costa Rica. Adult programs to the Tour du Mont Blanc in Europe and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa will also be featured in the new catalog.
The Moondance administrative staff spends over two months sifting through thousands of photos and quotations to help choose those that best illustrate each trip as well as the Moondance experience as a whole. The year’s catalog will include excerpts from previous summer’s Trip Logs as well as a feature on Moonup, a nightly tradition on every Moondance trip that allows students to explore a number of topics via group discussion.
