The UK based t shirt company have announced that they are withdrawing their Jimmy Saville t-shirts in light of the recent allegations against him.
The late Jimmy Saville has been at the centre of child sex abuse allegations since disclosures about his private live were made public in an ITV documentary a fortnight ago. Since then 60 people have come forward to say they were a victim of the DJ and TV presenter, with police believing he had been abusing victims for decades.
It is because of these shocking and disturbing revelations that 8 Ball made the decision to withdraw the T-shirts inspired by Saville in the interests of taste.
A spokesperson from 8 Ball said:
“While 8 Ball takes influences from popular culture, we felt that in light of the recent allegations against Jimmy Saville, it was in the public’s best interests to remove the range of t-shirts from sale.”
