Liverpool City Council is launching a taxi advertising campaign in Merseyside to promote the new Fostering for Liverpool website.
London Taxi Advertising was appointed to handle the long term campaign targeting Liverpool - famous for being a big city with a big heart.
Taxi advertising is one of the initiatives being implemented by the Fostering for Liverpool team who are looking to build awareness in the heart of the city of the service which has been set up with the aim of placing local children with foster families.
Liverpool City Council has responsibility for around 800 children in the area who are unable to live with their birth families. With a shortage of foster carers nationwide, Liverpool City Council are encouraging foster carers to travel down Hope Street and play their part in changing the lives of local children and young people.
You can find more about fostering with Liverpool City Council on their dedicated website.
Talking directly to the public within the city environment is crucial for Fostering for Liverpool. Taxi advertising was chosen as it is one of the only media formats that can reach their target audience on a street level, and is unrestricted in terms of location as the branded cabs can travel streets and central areas that no other media can reach.
Locals are greeted by the taxi cabs, whilst out on their daily routine encouraging them to consider if they could foster, and visit the new website.
“Our looked after children need a stable and secure setting to achieve their potential and we are reaching out to our local community to help us find foster carers with the passion and commitment to make a difference to a child's life,” says Jimmy Clarke, Divisional Manager, Children’s Social Care.
"Taxi Advertising is a unique way for Fostering for Liverpool to reach potential foster carers in the city of Liverpool. The taxis will offer fantastic coverage of the city raising awareness of this very important service." -- Paul Tremarco, London Taxi Advertising.
