InventHelp®, America’s largest invention submission company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from South Carolina, has designed an inflatable, floating tent to sleep overnight while on a river or lake. This invention is patented.
The “Ski Cuddy” would provide users with a convenient and comfortable place to sleep overnight on a river or lake. Available for use on land as well, the invention would eliminate the need to use an air mattress or settle for a long commute home. Compact and portable, the Ski Cuddy can be placed in water, turned on to inflate and set up easily.
The domed tent would be produced from canvas and rubber, and would measure over 6-feet high and 7-feet in diameter when inflated. Featuring a thick, rubber-coated base and a safety beacon on top, an included air-pressure sensor would sound an alarm if the air pressure is low and needs to be re-inflated. The tent could be used on a boat deck or can float on the water’s surface while being tied up to the boat. A variation on the design could include a tent with a built-in air mattress for use on land with a battery-powered air pump.
“I have always enjoyed water sports, and since the fun can continue past sundown, I’ve often been put in the situation to choose between an uncomfortable stay on a boat or make the long trip home,” said the inventor. “This inspired me to design a way to ensure convenient, comfortable accommodations for overnight stays on the water.”
InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 09-CCT-263 at (800) 851-6030.
