New York, NY (PRWEB) October 22, 2012
Every few years, CompTIA evaluates their certification requirements and exams to ensure the certifications meet new industry standards. In the next few months, CompTIA is adding performance based questions to its exams. NetCom Learning and CompTIA are jointly offering an interactive free webinar “New Updates on CompTIA A+, Network+ & Security+ Exams” presented by Carol Balkcom, the Director of Product Management & Skills Development at CompTIA, on October 30, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM EST.
In the past, CompTIA certification exams for A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications were multiple choice questions. The decision to move to a more rigorous exam containing performance based questions is based on industry needs to ensure that the individuals who pass the exam have practical knowledge of the material. Performance based questions require candidates to not only understand the material but demonstrate they can implement it in real situations.
“Adding more rigorous testing to the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certification exams, makes sure the individuals who pass the exams are ready to work in the IT security field,” said Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning.
“It is the IT professional who ultimately reaps the benefits of the more demanding exam. We are pleased to be able to offer this free webinar with CompTIA and provide the information needed by IT professionals and those looking to enter the field, so that they are prepared for the upcoming changes,” said Sarder.
In this webinar we will cover:
The presenter of the free webinar is Carol Balkman, who is currently the Director of Product Management & Skills Development for CompTIA.
