Picturepark will now enable customers to focus on content, which is the true digital asset.

Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® will exhibit at the 2012 Henry Stewart DAM Symposium in Los Angeles on November 01-02, where it will demonstrate a forthcoming Picturepark DAM update that enables the product to “think” and manage in terms of digital content rather than digital files.

“DAM today is based on managing files,” explained Picturepark global marketing director David Diamond. “But files are nothing more than the containers we use to ship and store content—they are disposable. Picturepark will now enable customers to focus on content, which is the true digital asset.”

The Swiss DAM vendor will also announce a new Cloud option for its global SaaS and hybrid-DAM customers that can significantly reduce storage and bandwidth costs, while increasing performance across many regions. When coupled with the company’s recently released YouTube Connector, Cloud customers will be able to share and stream full length videos at a fraction of the cost typically associated with Cloud-based digital asset management.

On hand will be Hector Medina, Picturepark director of sales for the Americas, John Hornstein, CEO for Picturepark partner Modula4, and David Diamond.

Show attendees interested in detailed private demos of the new version of Picturepark DAM should contact Hector Medina (hm(at)picturepark(dot)com) prior to October 31.
