Doyle Raizner shareholder Jeff Raizner has started his year term as president of Houston Trial Lawyers’ Association. Outgoing president Jason Gibson installed Raizner of Doyle Raizner LLP as president at the organization’s annual meeting on October 4, 2012.

The past year under Gibson was successful for the association with increased membership, record breaking member event participation and the creation of an event focused on charitable contributions. Member events and membership drives included Big League Bash at Minute Maid Park, Bayou Ball benefiting Shriners Hospital for Children®- Houston & Galveston, a happy hour at Kung Fu Saloon and a golf tournament.

Raizner said he would like his term to “build on these successes in a number of ways”. The mentoring and growth of young attorneys and fostering their membership in HTLA to help them reach their goals and eventually become leaders themselves within the organization is a top priority. Also important during his term is the fostering of relationships within the legal community and beyond. Charitable work and contribution efforts will be integral to this year’s efforts.

Houston Trial Lawyers’ Association is comprised of trial lawyers in the greater Houston area. These lawyers represent plaintiffs who have sustained damages and are in need of legal counsel. The organization also assists members with continuing education, information, networking opportunities and services.

Doyle Raizner is a catastrophic personal injury, insurance and mass tort law firm with offices in Houston, Galveston and Phoenix. Partner Mike Doyle and Jeff Raizner began the practice ten years ago with the goal of protecting victims of insurance bad faith and corporate misconduct. Raizner attended Tulane University and University of Houston Law Center.
