If someone gets promoted, takes a different position in a company, or even logs onto a school computer for the first time, PolicyPak is always working and adjusting the settings based on the situation.

PolicyPak Software, the leader in desktop management software that delivers, enforces and remediates application settings, has released software that lets IT Admins configure and “lock down” Adobe Shockwave Player settings.
The pre-configured Shockwave Pak is used with PolicyPak Professional software, which lets IT Pros use Group Policy, SCCM and other desktop management tools to control settings on dozens of popular applications. Because the Shockwave browser plugin is used to run everything from educational videos to interactive games, settings changes can turn on unwanted updates, release private data, or put undue processing strain on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
“The best part of the Shockwave Pak is its simplicity, as IT Admins can grey-out or hide Shockwave settings altogether from students and employees alike,” says Jeremy Moskowitz, Group Policy Guru and founder of PolicyPak Software. “If someone gets promoted, takes a different position in a company, or even logs onto a school computer for the first time, PolicyPak is always working and adjusting the settings based on the situation.”
Beyond Shockwave, PolicyPak Professional users have access to dozens of free Paks for popular applications including Java, Flash, Lync, Firefox, and Microsoft Office. For all other applications – including homegrown ones – PolicyPak Design Studio can be used to create custom settings control Paks.
IT Admins can find out more about PolicyPak by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
