Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) October 24, 2012
Triad Semiconductor, Inc. announces the RF-FPGA Early Access Program that will provide a select number of lead partners with the opportunity to realize their custom RF designs on RF-FPGA hardware ahead of the general market.
Triad Semiconductor’s RF-FPGA is a radio frequency field programmable gate array.
Triad’s technical and business teams will be available at the 2012 MILCOM Conference, October 29 to November 1 in Orlando Florida, Booth #1532 to talk with candidates seeking admittance to the RF-FPGA early access program. Exhibit visitors are welcomed to stop by the Triad booth to discuss applications or to schedule follow-on meetings.
Triad’s RF-FPGA Combines Configurable Array and Sampled IF Technologies
The RF-FPGA uses Triad’s patented via-configurable array (VCA) technology combined with field programmable sampled IF (SIF) technology.
An RF-FPGA can be re-configured into a variety of RF receiver circuits using VCA technology.
SIF filters can be field programmed as low pass, high pass, band-pass, or band-stop filters by downloading new coefficients on-the-fly.

An RF-FPGA’s configurable and field programmable resources include:
RF-FPGA Target Applications
The RF-FPGA can address many receiver applications including:
Triad’s RF-FPGA Early Access Program
Developers seeking Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) integration of their RF designs are encouraged to submit their application ideas to Triad for review. Submitted applications will be reviewed to determine how well the application matches the RF-FPGA program’s technical and business requirements. From the list of qualified programs, Triad will grant admission to the RF-FPGA Early Access Program to a select number of lead partners.
Lead partners in the program will help influence the RF-FPGA architecture, have access to advanced product specifications and receive RF-FPGA silicon solutions ahead of the general marketplace.
About Triad Semiconductor, Inc.
Triad Semiconductor is changing the way mixed signal ASICs are designed. Triad makes ViaASICs™ that combine silicon-proven analog and digital resources onto ASIC die that are configured with a single (Via-Only™) mask layer change. This approach to ASIC design reduces development cost, development time, and is easier and less risky than traditional full-custom IC design. Triad supports an ITAR-certified design flow and supply-chain. Triad is focused on long-term supply of semiconductor solutions to customers in the defense, aerospace, industrial and medical markets.
