In late August - Karin Hall, CSO & Co-founder of QCSS, was contacted by 2 executives from Nearshore Americas (NSAM). NSAM is an online resource for business executives who influence and make decisions about IT outsourcing & BPO (specifically for Latin America & the Caribbean). Kirk Laughlin and Dan Rubinetti of NSAM had caught wind of QCSS's expansion to their new Smart Center in Deer Park Illinois, and wanted to learn more about what QCSS was doing in helping domestic organizations grow business.
NSAM has been focusing on the emerging private business sectors in Gaudalajara, Jalisco [Mexico], where many large U.S. corporations are expanding Telecommunication and IT operations. Karin was invited on a mission trip to see their developments and to share her insights with U.S. and Latin American delegates.
Several weeks ago, Karin Hall made the trip out to Gaudalajara, "Mexico's Silicon Valley". Since Mexico is now the fourth biggest country for business process outsourcing (BPO), more than 650 companies have offices located in this capital city. Karin got the chance to witness how companies like IBM, Intel, Tata, iGate, HCL and Oracle conduct their high tech operations. With this trip, Karin also got the chance to visit Technologico de Moterrey, a prestigious university that offers study abroad programs with top U.S. universities such as MIT, Stanford and Berkley which create internships and vocational connections.
"Visiting Gaudalajara was an incredible opportunity. The chance to experience the explosive economic growth of firms big and small, coupled with the remarkable educational programs at these universities, demonstrated a synergy of very talented minds." - Karin Hall
The wealth of knowledge and connections established on the mission trip will unquestionably help QCSS in their continual efforts to be leaders in technology and BPO here in the U.S.
