Alliance Data Retail Services Leverages Modo Connect API Platform to Drive Cutting-Edge Mobile Gifting Solution

ModoPayments, a fast-rising player in the mobile payments industry, announced today it is partnering with Alliance Data Retail Services, a leading provider of more than 100 private label and co-branded credit cards programs for some of North America’s best-known brands, to provide a series of mobile and social gifting capabilities through its recently released Modo Connect mobile payments API platform that enables instant, mobile-originated in-store gifts, offers and purchases.

As a launch partner for Modo Connect, ModoPayments will provide Alliance Data Retail Services with mobile-oriented customer engagement and payment products that complement Alliance Data’s current mobile solutions suite. ModoPayments’s solutions work with Alliance Data’s credit products and easily integrate with the existing infrastructure of retailers' point-of-sale environments. Through ModoPayment’s Modo Connect API service, retailers or consumers can give in-store monetary gifts instantly via text message, social network or a smartphone application. Gift givers are also notified when their gift has been redeemed.
