We are excited to be able to add the caliber of talent and experience that Harris and Groover bring to our firm.

Minneapolis, Minn (PRWEB) October 23, 2012

Advanced Circulatory Systems, Inc., maker of multiple medical devices providing the Perfusion on Demand Therapy™ to the EMS and hospital markets, announces two additions to its senior management team. Nathan Harris and Elizabeth Groover join the company in newly created senior level positions responsible for sales and marketing management, respectively. These additions come as the company prepares to advance its Perfusion on Demand(TM) therapy and the ResQPOD® ITD as a new standard of care after sudden cardiac arrest.

Nathan Harris joins the company as Senior Vice President of Sales, a new position. He most recently had been at St. Jude Medical as Vice President of Marketing in the Cardiovascular Division/OCT. Harris, a Board member of the company, is a sales and marketing executive with extensive medical device experience. He recently worked with start-up medical device companies Salient Surgical and Light Lab Imaging. These companies have been acquired by Medtronic and St. Jude Medical, respectively. Harris has also held marketing, sales and operational management positions with Medtronic, Inc., Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. (Guidant), and Honeywell, Inc. He is a graduate of the College of New Jersey with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, The Executive Program at Darden University and a M.B.A. graduate of St. Thomas University.

Elizabeth Groover joins the company as Vice President of Marketing, a new position focused on building and executing the marketing strategies needed to accelerate the growth of the ResQPOD and follow-on products now in the pipeline. Groover, who previously held marketing leadership positions at Medtronic and American Medical Systems, has most recently been consulting with companies to help them bring disruptive medical technologies to market successfully. She has a track record of accelerating of revenue growth and driving broad market penetration. Groover has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School.

“We believe that increasing awareness of how the Perfusion on Demand Therapy can increase survival rates among leading emergency medicine clinicians will be instrumental to our ability to address the low survival rates associated with sudden cardiac arrests,” said Groover. “This is a critical time with survival from SCA stagnating at alarmingly low levels and getting attention as a major healthcare issue. Advanced Circulatory’s technology is backed up by more than 40 scientific studies and extensive product development work done in partnership with the NIH and the US Department of Defense.”

Chief Executive Officer Mike Black said, “We are excited to be able to add the caliber of talent and experience that Harris and Groover bring to our firm. We are at a key point in the development of the market for the Perfusion on Demand Therapy where we can benefit from their significant experience in taking medical products to scale and increasing market penetration. Their experience and expertise will be especially valuable as we continue in our process to gain PMA acceptance of the ResQSystem that could move us beyond the cardiac arrest to a much larger opportunity to serve patients who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, a stroke, septic shock or extremely low blood pressure.”
