Bogs Footwear (http://www.bogsfootwear.com) and 4-H, the nation's largest youth development organization, are calling all 4-H participants nationwide to participate in the Step Up to the Challenge video contest.
Beginning now through November 11, 2012, 4-H’ers can submit a video describing how their club can solve an issue in the community with lasting, positive change. Three winning videos will receive $1,250 for County 4-H Programs courtesy of Bogs Footwear.
Once videos are submitted online through the 4-H Facebook Page (under the Contests app), a panel of 4-H judges will select five finalists by November 16, 2012. The public can vote on their favorite finalists November 19 – 25, 2012 on the 4-H Facebook Page.
4-H and Bogs will announce the three finalists with the highest number of votes on November 26, 2012.
To further support 4-H, throughout the month of November, Bogs Footwear will donate $5 for every pair of Bogs sold at select Coastal Farm & Ranch, JAX Mercantile and D&B Supply stores to the National 4-H Council in support of 4-H youth programming. The funding will enable 4-H youth to sharpen leadership skills and leave lasting, positive impacts on their communities.
4-H serves more than 6 million 4-H youth in urban neighborhoods, suburban schoolyards and rural farming communities. As the youth development program of the nation’s 111 land-grant universities and the Cooperative Extension System, 4-H fosters an innovative, “learn by doing” approach, enabling 4-H'ers to stand out among their peers by building revolutionary opportunities and implementing community-wide change at an early age.
