We thought it would be fun to do an awareness campaign around this theme while inspiring others to take their life to the next level.
Banff, Alberta (PRWEB) October 23, 2012
The Alpine Club of Canada (the ACC - http://accnewheights.ca/) is set to launch a nationwide fundraising campaign at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival on October 27th, 2012. Their aim is to raise funds in order to undertake a host of new initiatives, set to raise the club to “New Heights”, and honour its past, present and future.
Funding projects to honour past, present & future
“Our aim is to build a Heritage Gallery which will honour the past history of the organisation, construct a Back Country Hut for present members’ alpine exploration and personal reflection, and to contribute to the ACC’s Endowment fund in order to help ensure future generations can enjoy the majesty of the outdoors.” said Lawrence White, Executive Director of The Alpine Club of Canada.
‘Take Your Life to New Heights’
In a bid to engage the public and promote their campaign message, during the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, the ACC will invite attendees to view a mountain image at their booth titled ‘Take Your Life to New Heights’ and write down how they will undertake fulfilling the message. Participants that share the ‘Take Your Life to New Heights’ photo through social networks will also be entered into a monthly draw to win different prizes from the ACC.
“We decided to do things a little different this year. And since we are launching a fundraising campaign centred around “New Heights”, we thought it would be fun to do an awareness campaign around this theme while inspiring others to take their life to the next level,” said Keith Haberl, Director of Marketing.
Campaign partnership with Frendo.com
The Alpine Club of Canada is working in conjunction with Calgary based non-profit services provider frendo (http://www.frendo.com) who will not only help facilitate the fundraising campaign but also ensure money raised goes directly to the organisation by offering fee-free online donations.
COO of frendo, Erika Racicot said “It’s been a great pleasure working on this campaign with The Alpine Club of Canada. The frendo team and I work with non-profits from all across North America but it’s extra special when we can partner with an organisation we have a personal affiliation with and which has such a rich history in the Province.”
