Tableau, with more than 14 technology partners, brings big data to life with visual analytics and rapid-fire business intelligence.

Tableau Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence software, today announced major partnerships with leading Big Data technology companies at Strata Conference + Hadoop World 2012. Key organizations creating or extending their partnerships with Tableau include Cirro, DataStax, Digital Reasoning, EMC Greenplum, Hadapt, Hortonworks, Karmasphere, and Simba. They join existing Tableau partners such as Teradata/Aster, HP Vertica, ParAccel, Actian VectorWise, IBM Netezza, MapR and others, to make Big Data accessible and useful throughout the enterprise, delivered via desktop, web and mobile devices. Whether data is structured, unstructured, in a Hadoop distribution or an in-memory database, Tableau is the business intelligence application for rich visual analytics on top of Big Data systems.

“Tableau is quickly becoming the de facto business intelligence standard for working with Big Data,” said Christian Chabot, CEO and co-founder of Tableau Software. “Most solutions for handling Big Data are complicated and development intensive – and few people are going to use them. Our products are easy-to-use and relevant to everyone. We’ve built an extensive partner ecosystem so people can download our products and get started solving their data challenges today.”

Tableau is the BI Tool of Choice for Rich Analysis of Hadoop Data
Tableau Software makes Hadoop data useful to anyone quickly and easily – no programming required. At Strata Conference + Hadoop World 2012, Tableau is announcing new or extended partnerships with leading vendors in the Hadoop ecosystem including Hortonworks, DataStax, Hadapt and Karmasphere:

•Tableau Software now connects to Hortonworks Data Platform powered by Apache Hadoop through the Hive interface, using the new Hortonworks Hive ODBC Connector.
•Tableau Software now connects to the DataStax Big Data platform which integrates Apache Cassandra, Hadoop and Solr. Users are now able to use Tableau Software do analytics on their data in DataStax Enterprise.
•Tableau Software integrates with Hadapt's Interactive Query to provide business analysts access to the full Hadoop analytic ecosystem via SQL. Hadapt's Adaptive Analytical Platform combines Apache Hadoop and relational DBMS technology into a single system for applications that rely on multi-structured data analytics - no connectors, complexities or rigid structure.
•Tableau’s native integration with Karmasphere allows users to work together using Karmaphere’s powerful project workspace directly on Hadoop to create and share analytic work products such as tables, queries and results that can be consumed in Tableau.
•Tableau Software is partnering with Simba Technologies to leverage its ODBC drivers to optimize access to Hadoop data for other Tableau partners and customers.

No Matter Where it is Stored, Tableau Brings Big Data to Life
Whether in a relational or NoSQL database, in the Cloud or in Hadoop, Tableau Software liberates Big Data and delivers it quickly and easily to business users. Regardless of the database and data management systems in use, Tableau Software is developing new ways to unleash the power of Big Data.

•With EMC Greenplum announcing the open-source version of its Greenplum Chorus product, Tableau Software will deepen its partnership with EMC Greenplum by demonstrating the integration of Tableau Server into Chorus, using the new APIs soon available in Tableau 8.0. This integration enables data scientists and analysts that use Chorus to collaborate over Big Data using world-class business intelligence software.
•Tableau Software works with Synthesys®, Digital Reasoning’s platform for unstructured data analytics, so that Tableau customers can now include critical new information sources including email, corporate communications, documents, research reports, social media and a wide variety of other data sources into their business intelligence tools. Customers can now uncover fraud or risk that is buried in email, meet compliance obligations where the important data is unstructured, or identify new opportunities by automatically extracting the critical information found in web content, research reports or company news.
•Tableau Software works with Cirro, a platform that enables the joining of data across heterogeneous environments by federating queries across multiple sources of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.
