With the DonRiver Financial Services Hub, banks and mobile operators can monetize offerings from third party financial service providers quickly and cost effectively on a low risk, revenue share transactional basis.

DonRiver Inc., a leading developer and integrator of mobile payment, mobile banking, and mobile money transfer systems, has launched the hosted DonRiver Financial Services Hub (“The Hub”). The Hub is a software platform that enables banks and mobile operators to offer revenue generating third party financial services directly to their end customers.

The Hub aggregates products and services, including money transfers, mobile payments, and airtime transfers, from the world’s leading financial service providers and payment networks. Banks and mobile operators integrate to the Hub to provide their customers with a catalogue of financial services from integrated partners. The Hub allows any bank or mobile operator, large or small, to unlock new revenue streams without having to undertake costly, time consuming, and risky system integration projects.

Until now, the Hub has been provided to DonRiver’s clients under a traditional software license model. With this announcement, the Hub is now available under a hosted, managed services model. Banks and mobile operators now have the ability to leverage the Hub to deliver value added financial services to customers without the need to invest in and establish their own on premise computing hardware, technical infrastructure, datacenters, and operational support personnel.

“DonRiver’s bank and mobile operator clients continually seek to generate new revenue streams, reduce product development costs, and differentiate themselves with innovative financial services offerings” said Brent Ho-Young, Managing Director, DonRiver Inc., Mobile and Financial Services Practice. “With the DonRiver Financial Services Hub, banks and mobile operators can monetize offerings from third party financial service providers quickly and cost effectively on a low risk, revenue share transactional basis.”

With the DonRiver Financial Services Hub, the customers of banks and mobile operators are able to:

  • Access value added financial services from a network of third party providers through online, mobile, tablet, point-of-sale, and ATM devices and terminals
  • Fund value added financial service transactions using bank accounts, credit/debit cards, and mobile wallets
  • Top up the airtime accounts of friends and family in countries all around the world
  • Transfer funds and make payments to recipients around the world through third party international remittance networks
  • Receive real-time in-app, email, and SMS activity and security alerts about account activities and completed transactions

DonRiver has developed and integrated mobile wallets and mobile banking applications into payment networks worldwide since 2006. From this experience, DonRiver has determined that it takes a typical bank or mobile operator anywhere from 6 to 18 months and well over $1 million dollars to launch a value added financial service such as person-to-person money transfers.

DonRiver developed the Hub in order to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity required for clients to design, build, and operate value added financial services. Once a bank or mobile operator interconnects to the Hub, they are able to offer all of its aggregated financial services, without having to complete expensive point-to-point integrations to numerous internal systems and third party financial service providers.

“The DonRiver Financial Services Hub includes white label online and mobile applications, as well as a standards based application programming interface (“API”) and developer tools that third party service providers use to embed their financial services into the Hub” said Long Van, Chief Solution Architect, DonRiver Inc., Mobile and Financial Services Practice. “Banks and mobile operators connected to the Hub will have the opportunity to generate additional revenues as new financial services are rolled out from an expanding set of integrated service providers.”

DonRiver will be an exhibitor at the GSMA’s NFC & Mobile Money Summit in Milan, Italy, between October 23rd and 24th. To meet a DonRiver representative or to book a demonstration at the summit, please contact Sales@DonRiver.com.
