On October 27 2012, collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution released a statement following an article by Dina Sha'altiel of the Inside Arm regarding the ways to keep a good reputation in the debt collection business.
According to the Inside Arm article, “Collections can be daunting. And, increasingly, a company’s brand image in the collection process is a critical measure of success.” The main question asked in the article is how can a collection agency keep customers happy and increase their collections, while protecting its reputation at the same time? According to the article there are four pillars to successfully ensure this all happens. Those four pillars are listed as training, compliance, quality assurance, and customer experience.
Some examples of the advice the article gives are, “make sure to take a planned approach when communicating with consumers,” and “regularly monitor both live and recorded calls to ensure representatives are providing a great customer experience while simultaneously recovering debts for the client and maintaining 100% compliance with corporate, state, and federal guidelines.”
