For that we need reliability, a good workflow for testing and sending emails, and a flexible set of tools for building campaigns, all things that Salsa offers us.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 24, 2012

Salsa Labs, Inc. (Salsa), creator of the online and fully, integrated platform for nonprofit fundraising, communications and advocacy announced today its newest client, Fight for the Future. The national advocacy group dedicates its efforts to protecting basic rights and freedoms for Internet users through information distribution and civic campaigns.

“We're using Salsa to deploy massive campaigns for Internet freedom,” said Holmes Wilson, co-founder of Fight for the Future. “For that we need reliability, a good workflow for testing and sending emails, and a flexible set of tools for building campaigns, all things that Salsa offers us.”

Fight for the Future will utilize the Salsa platform to maximize their outreach efforts through electronic communication features and the robust advocacy options Salsa provides. Additionally, Fight for the Future plans to work with Salsa account managers to help clean their existing data and ensure emails successfully reach their target audience. Using the enterprise version of Salsa, Fight for the Future will reach more than 350,000 dedicated supporters with only 8 full-time staff members and the strength of the Salsa Network of more than 20,000 campaign managers in the online community.

“Fight for the Future came to us for our expertise with email deliverability,” said Matt Wilson, vice president of accounts for Salsa. “Their quick growth presented some challenges, and we look forward to employing our technical gurus and customer support team to help them thrive.”

On January 18 2012, Fight for the Future worked to create the largest online protest in history as part of an effort to prevent passage of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA). More than 115,000 companies and organizations including Wikipedia, CNet, and Reddit suspended their websites for 12 hours, blocking almost one billion people from viewing their materials. Individual supporters joined the cause as well, reaching out to their Congressional representatives through three million tweets, 4,000,000 emails and upwards of 8,000,000 phone calls speaking out against the proposed legislation. On January 20, Congress shelved the bills indefinitely.
