Politocracy The GameTM, the political board game packed with tons of fun for friends, family and adversaries, is now available on the Company

After months of intense development and rigorous testing, the game’s availability could not come at a more important and opportune time for the American electorate – as well as those who wish they could participate as real life candidates.

Playing the board game gives Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Occupiers, Constitutionalists, Socialists, Tea Partiers and (other worldly) Aliens the opportunity to sit down and face off - eyeball to eyeball - and become the political candidates they’ve learned to love or loathe.

Finally, from the security of your own home, office, club or Internet café or undisclosed location, you can get in on the political action: Make the tough decisions! Declare your ideology! Hit the Campaign Trail, fight for votes – seize your popularity. Get on the Money Trail, raise the millions necessary to win the presidency.

No longer do you have to sit on the sidelines, watching the political campaigns, debates, fretting about the latest polls and whether to vote, how to vote, where to vote, for whom to vote or even why to vote.

“The American electorate is both frustrated and stressed about the current state of political, social and economic acrimony,” said Mark Strangio, co-founder. “People need to take a break, have some fun and inject some humor into what otherwise might be an evening filled with angst deciphering rivals’ campaign slogans and accusations.”

The game begins as players assume the identity of well known political candidates; selecting a Political Profiles from a deck of 12 well known historic and current figures. Each profile identifies the candidate’s Likeability, Integrity, Fundraising Ability and their status as either Inside or Outside the Beltway. Candidates seek approval (popularity) from the constituent groups they stop at while on the Campaign Trail. Approval is based on each candidate’s ideology - Progressive, Centrist or Conservative. When a candidate has accumulated enough popularity to guarantee a smooth transition onto the Money Trail, he or she will be able to raise the funds necessary to secure constituent loyalty and finance the advertising that will be necessary during the Election.

“Money, or what we call Deficit Dollars, is crucial to buying support (constituents) and launching the final stages of the campaign, the battlefield known as the election” according to Fred Zimonja, co-designer. “It takes a bundle of dough to win it all in a Politocracy. Players need to understand how the system works and use their political skills to compete with politicos in this game.”

"This game is great fun," Strangio continued. "We received many comments from player-candidates who've laughed harder and longer then they have in years. Yet, these players are able to tackle the tough political questions of the day, teach others how the system works and walk away satisfied that they've been able to take the challenge." Everyone wins, even the losers.

The game (priced at $39.95) comes with a colorful game board, hundreds of millions of dollars, enough Hope and Change cards to keep candidates on edge throughout the game, political profiles, a crooked die and, of course, the rules.
