Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 25, 2012
One local trucking company is taking on the fight to combat both breast cancer and hunger. Best Yet Express has recently launched two charitable campaigns: one in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and another to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
About the Campaigns
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of this campaign, Best Yet Express will display large pink ribbons on their fleet-owned trucks. The trucking company hopes that displaying the ribbons on the side of their trucks, which travel all over the Los Angeles area, will help remind the community of the important of early detection of the disease that the fight to find a cure continues.
Best Yet Express has also embarked on a five-week donation campaign to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The drive began on October 4th and will run through November 16th. “We felt compelled to reach out to help the local community due to the tough economic times faced by so many and the staggering fact that over one million people in Los Angeles are at risk of going hungry,” said Vice President of Best Yet Express, Jay Newjahr. The company is accepting donations of non-perishable goods to be dropped off at its physical location located at 15000 S. Figueroa Street Unit B, Gardena, CA 90248. Donations may also be given to the company’s drivers when they arrive to pick up any TL or LTL trucking loads.
